Happy New Year - I have made our monthly digital and will be adding new information and new features to it to bring more awareness to the needs of your local Veterans.

Post Commander's Corner

The briefing to the county commission on the Rutherford County Veteran Resource Center was put on hold until some legal stuff is taken care. We will send out a new date when we have.

The VFW District 5 meeting for March 10th will be at the National Guard Armory here in Murfreesboro. Our post is the host post we will make a decide on food for that night at our next post meeting.

We have elected our Jerry Stewart as our Quartermaster he will be both the Quartermaster and Adjutant until our post election in April.

Lets all keep our former quartermaster and our comrade in our prayers as he deals with some health issues.

Submit your community service hours on www.vfwtn.org under the members only link. Once you get the e-mail forward them to myself at adj@vfw4575.org or bring a print out to the post meeting.

Community Outreach

We are looking at different community outreach and special projects for the post. We are currently conducting a virtual blood drive thru the American Red Cross - to sign up for the blood drive go to the following link. VFW Post 4575 Blood Drive

We also are looking into having a food drive to help Nourish Food Bank here in Murfreesboro, more information will be put out at our February
meeting.

We also might have the opportunity to sponsor the M.T.S.U Powerlifting club, and in return they will help us with a fundraiser the Jerry is trying to put together later in the year. The sponsorship would most likely get our post logo on the back of there club t-shirt. More information to come on this soon.

We are hosting a Veteran's Night out on Saturday, February 19th at 4pm and Jack Split Axe throwing here in Murfreesboro. Cost is $16.50 per person for an hour if we get more then 20 participants.
